Acadiana Brew Ha Ha (Beers of Acadiana)

Craft beer and microbreweries! Beer Tasting! Discussions! Panels! Awards! Homebrewers! 

Acadiana Brew Ha-Ha is a celebration of the tradition and the culture of brewing beer in South Louisiana. We will host regional craft and microbreweries including Gnarly Brewing, Bayou Tech, Crying Eagle, and Cajunboyz Brewing.
 

There will be a “Meet the Brewers” panel as well as a class taught by Ryan Speyrer, LA’s only Advanced Cicerone, teaching what gives beer its distinct taste. Area, home brewers are scheduled to serve their brews, including beer and brews from the 18th and 19th centuries.

Tickets are $20 p/p, which includes an official tasting cup. The class is an additional $5 for those attending and the “Designated Driver” pass is $10.

10:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. – Presentation: The History of Brewing & Beer in Acadiana 

11:00 a.m. – Brewing Demonstrations 

11:00 a.m. – Class Offering: “What am I Tasting?” with Ryan Speyer, Advanced Cicerone 

11:30 a.m. – 12:15 p.m. – Panel Discussion: “Meet the Brewers” 

12:30 p.m. – Class Offering: “What am I Tasting?” with Ryan Speyer, Advanced Cicerone 

12:30 p.m. – Live Music: Curley Taylor & Zydeco Trouble 

2:00 p.m. – Awards Ceremony

2:30 p.m. – Live Music: Jourdan Thibodeaux & the Rôdailleurs
