LESSON PLANS

Pre-service students at The University of Louisiana at Lafayette College of Education develop lesson plans based on our homes aligned with benchmarks and standards that will help your students prepare for standardized testing. Teachers will be able to use the lesson plan materials before their visit, during their visit, as well as when they return to their classroom to summarize their cultural excursion at Vermilionville. Lesson plans will be developed for elementary and secondary levels.

As we continue to work on our education initiative, we will begin to develop lesson plans based on our seasonal programs. They will be posted to our website in the near future.

When you’re ready to book a visit with us, please inform the tour coordinator which lesson you’ll be conducting for your anchor activity. Please call 337.233.4077 x 211 or e-mail us at Education@BayouVermilionDistrict.org if you would like to find out more about our lesson plans and our overall initiative. We also have a booking inquiry form that you can fill out with your plans by clicking here ; our tour coordinator will contact you to tailor a customized visit for your group.
